Reflections on God's ways

Isaiah 55:8 “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your thoughts, and My thoughts are higher than your thoughts.”

I used to think these verses are to comfort me when I try to understand why things happened, or why God allowed them to happen. Yesterday God’s love hit me with this truth: I may not think about Jesus all the time, but He is always thinking about me – good thoughts and ways to bless and love me. Amen, it’s so true. His ways are ways of grace and mercy whereas man’s ways are ways of merit. His thoughts towards us are always good. Yes, even when we lose sight of Him, He never loses sight of us.
