Let's Believe God Is Good and God Loves Us And We Will Conquer Giants In Our Lives

“In Joshua 14, Caleb believed not only in God but a God who is good and loves him enough to take Him at His Word. He said to Joshua: ‘You know the Word which the Lord said to Moses CONCERNING you and ME. I was forty years old. As yet I am as strong this day as on the day that Moses sent me; just as my strength was then, so now is my strength for war, both for going out and for coming in. Now therefore, give me this mountain of which the Lord SPOKE in that day and I SHALL BE ABLE to conquer AS THE LORD SAYS.’

It is not that we doubt God’s promises at His Word but we often do not believe God is good and He loves us enough to do what He says. Today God has spoken in His Word concerning us and our going in and going out. We will be able to conquer giants as He said we would. Be blessed this week.”

Amen the giants are bread for us because God is good, God is love and God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think according to His mighty power working in us.

    • God is good. But by which standard of goodness is He good? From where has that standard originated? If God is the alpha and omega of existence, then that standard can originate from God only. Therefore if God is good, then He is good by His own standard of goodness. But a person, or a being, cannot, and should not, be judged good by his own standard of goodness. This standard must have to be independent of him. Otherwise Hitler will also claim that his action be judged by his own standard. And he will claim that he has done nothing wrong by killing 6 million jews, because he thought it absolutely necessary. So, if God is the alpha and omega of existence, then God cannot be good.

Thanks for your comments, Himangsu. That’s some food for thought. I suppose whether God is good is subjective as it is based on people’s perception and opinions of Him. Maybe to one person, God is good, but to another, God is not good. As for God’s opinion of Himself, I think He’s also entitled to His own opinion, just as we are entitled to our own opinions, don’t you think so? 🙂

I wish you a merry Christmas, my friend.
